Courses offered

Over the years as a professor at NTNU, I have lectured courses in energy system integration, power system stability, network analysis (tools and techniques), and hydropower system planning (short-, medium, and long-term). 

I am now offering specialized courses within these disciplines. The courses can be tailor-made to the specific needs if necessary.   It may be on-site courses, online courses, or video-recorded lectures with discussion-oriented sessions for summaries and clarification.

Hydro Power Scheduling: 

The course covers modelling and optimization of hydro power-dominated systems. The focus will particularly be on short-term scheduling, but tools and techniques for longer-term planning will be included. The planning hierarchy described by the long-term, mid-term, and short-term will be discussed, as well as the typical aggregation level and information flow between the different time horizons.

Transmission and distribution system analysis

The course covers tools and techniques for network analysis. It will focus on modeling and numerical methods for various applications, such as regular power flow, different versions of decoupled power flow, continuation power flow, and security-constrained DC optimal power flow with post-contingency rescheduling.
